"Cow Parade Cowdolier. Made of solid resin. Measures 3 tall. Title: Cowdolier Location: Country Club Plaza Artist: Mark Cordes Sponsor: The Country Club Plaza Gondoliers in Venice, Italy inspired the creation of this piece. Cowdolier enjoyed the summer in the Brush Creek river and took its cues from the tour boats competing for space on the river. Cowdolier is designed with safety and ease of installation in mind. Although appearing to be like a typical gondola, the boat is flat bottomed and symmetrical, weighted to withstand strong wind gusts and high currents. The anchoring system allows the boat to move in response to occasional storm waters and debris. Artist Mark Cordes is the Art Director in the New Business Development division of Hallmark Cards and, in his spare time, runs a custom furniture and lighting company."
