"From the Precious Moments Collection by Enesco. I Will Make You Fishers of Men, a Precious Moments 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Event Porcelain Figurine. During the spring of 1978, Enesco Founding Chairman, Eugene Freedman, was given a poster of two little boys; one carried a fishing pole, the other a can of worms. It was titled I Will Make You Fishers Of Men. Instantly, Gene Freedman fell in love with the little fishermen, and he asked the artist, Sam Butcher, to see more of his artwork. Gene knew that this tender drawing of two teardrop-eyed children was truly special and would be even more so when translated into porcelain. Now, after 25 years, this history-making image is available to collectors! This bisque porcelain figurine measures 5 x 5 1/2 tall and features a plastic fishing pole, real fishing line and a metal fish hook. Comes packaged in a silver 25th Anniversary box and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Also included is the lithograph shown at left. This Limited Edition lithograph is an authentic reproduction of the original poster that inspired the Precious Moments collection of porcelain figurines by Enesco. It comes showcased in a protective folder with a silver 25th Anniversary logo, the story of the artwork, and photos of Eugene Freedman, Sam Butcher, and Yahuhei Fujioka, Master Sculptor. The litograph measures 11 x 17."
