"From the Vanmark Commanding Images of the Civil War is the J.E.B. Stuart statuette. Features General Stuart in spurs, sword and pistol at his side. Measures 5 x 4 x 10 high. Each Vanmark sculpture is individually numbered and is handcrafted from cold-cast resin. J.E.B. Stuart of Virginia, 1833-1864, Confederate Most dashing of all the beaux sabreurs of the Confederacy, one of the most romantic and legendary figures of the Civil War, noted for daring raids; known for his dashing style of dress. As Major General, he commanded all Confederate cavalry of the Army of Northern Virginia from First Bull Run, 1861 to Spotsylvania, 1864; killed at Yellow Tavern, May, 1864. No period in the history of our country created deeper passion--or greater heroes. Crafted in striking detail and precision, we are proud to present Commanding Images of the Civil War, featuring outstanding leaders from both sides of the war between the states. Commanders are brought to life through historically accurate dress, expression and stature.
